Talent Show

I started posting this a month ago, but the videos wouldn't upload. Instead, I'm just going to post youtube links.

Our little David loves to be on stage. A couple of weeks ago, he informed me that he had signed up to do a juggling act in the ward talent show. This was surprising to me, not only because I didn't know he knew how to sign himself up, but also because well.... he can't juggle. In his determination to learn, he spent some time throwing one ball around and he even tried juggling with a few tissues, but to no avail. David realized that he wouldn't be able to learn to juggle in just two weeks, so he decided that he would put on a magic show. We found a few helpful videos demonstrating some impressive magic tricks, but unfortunately they required more physical coordination than my eight year old could muster. His next idea involved putting together a family rock band, but well, it didn't happen. He finally settled on a stand up comedy act because he loves to tell jokes. I have posted his act here for your viewing pleasure:

Andrew performed a piano solo, "Ode to Joy." He figured out the melody on his own. He was so proud of himself when he was done.

The Syracuse Ward never disappoints on talent night. We had a hula dancer, a multi-racial midget and a guest appearance by Brittany Spears. So fun!
